Lying hypocrite Joan Walsh asks, ‘What’s wrong with Mitt Romney?’

http://twitter.com/#!/llondo/status/228866097577857024

Joan Walsh’s latest Salon column claims one of the candidates can’t “handle the presidency.”

No, silly, it’s not President “It Worked!” she’s targeting on a day when appallingly sluggish GDP growth is topping the news. It’s Mitt Romney and his “disastrous British visit” that has her all wee-weed up.

What’s wrong with Mitt Romney? His UK disaster raises questions about whether he could handle the presidency http://t.co/emG3CaZo

— Joan Walsh (@joanwalsh) July 27, 2012

The concern trolling is strong with this one:

I have an idea for Mitt Romney: Release your tax returns today. Your coverage can’t get any worse than it’s been in the last 48 hours or so, and with any luck, your tax issues will distract the global media from your disastrous London anti-diplomacy.

Disastrous? Kinda like the state of our economy?

@joanwalsh I don't think "disaster" means what you think it means… (Oh and 1.5% GDP)

— Melon Tulle (@MelindaTulley) July 27, 2012

@joanwalsh Wow Joan, still drinking the Obama koolaid? 8% unemployment 1% GDP growth and you are worried about mitt highlighting Olympic sec

.@joanwalsh <—— another of @thedemocrats apologizers masked as an analyst. Just another reason 2 avoid @msnbc #MediaFAIL

— Laura R. Charron (@ConchoQueen) July 27, 2012

Hey @JoanWalsh, the fact that you're talking Romney's comments and not the awful 1.5% GDP growth raises questions about your sanity. #tcot

— RB (@RBPundit) July 27, 2012

Note to Walsh:

Hey @JoanWalsh, Romney's comments aren't going to make Obama's failure go away. Just an FYI. #tcot #p2

— RB (@RBPundit) July 27, 2012

As NRO contributor Greg Pollowitz points out, Walsh can’t even make her point without brazenly lying about Romney.

dear @joanwalsh: "A tiny island nobody wants" appears nowhere in Romney's No Apology. Here's proof. You have a source? pic.twitter.com/3MBB3o0g

— Greg Pollowitz (@GPollowitz) July 27, 2012

From her column:

Also on Thursday, unbelievably, our attention was called to an idiotic passage in Romney’s book, “No Apology,” in which he dismissed Britain as “a tiny island nobody wants.”

an @joanwalsh twofer! She's making up @mittromney quotes and taking him out of context! Via @nro's Media Blog: http://t.co/mv9Sw4aP

— Greg Pollowitz (@GPollowitz) July 27, 2012

This is what a “real journalist” looks like?

Walsh is also a flaming hypocrite. She writes that “Romney’s many gaffes reflect his enormous sense of entitlement and lamentable lack of empathy.” This from the same woman who blew off President Obama’s decision to redecorate the Oval Office during an economic downturn.

FLASHBACK: @JoanWalsh's outrage over diplomatic "gaffes" seems a bit… selective. http://t.co/iqZNBsJT #tcot #p2

— RB (@RBPundit) July 27, 2012

Well played, RB. Well played.

I eagerly await @JoanWalsh's article about how disastrous the 1.5% GDP growth is for Obama. I'm all tingly in anticipation! #tcot #p2

— RB (@RBPundit) July 27, 2012

Naturally, she didn’t take too kindly to conservative criticism.

Romney backers are RTing a story I didn't write to prove my "hypocrisy." I'm sure they're not even looking at what they RT. Dittoheads.

— Joan Walsh (@joanwalsh) July 27, 2012

Shut up, conservatives! Because … race card!

Oh, and putting the bust of MLK in the Oval Office really chafes them, too.

— Joan Walsh (@joanwalsh) July 27, 2012

Oh, if that bust could talk:

The MLK bust whispers: "14.4%" RT @joanwalsh: Oh, and putting the bust of MLK in the Oval Office really chafes them, too.

— Dirk Roeckmann (@droeckmann) July 27, 2012

Update:

After being called out, Joan Walsh issued an apology for misquoting Romney.

Apologies for screwing up the Romney quote about "England" as "just a small island." It's corrected now.

— Joan Walsh (@joanwalsh) July 27, 2012

“This post has been corrected” now appears at the end of her piece, but there’s no indication of what she corrected.

As for her selective outrage, we don’t expect she’ll be willing or able to correct that anytime soon.

Good! @JoanWalsh apologized for making stuff up. Now for the article explaining how 1.5% GDP growth is disastrous for Obama. #CANTWAIT
